susphoto.com is a stock photography database for sport and physical activity within Scottish universities and higher education institutions.

The website is owned and administered by Eventful Image, the owner of which is Antony Stone. Antony is a professional sports event photographer based near Edinburgh, up until recently his work has primarily covered ski and mountain bike events, and in 2005 he worked alongside the British Alpine Ski Team. Eventful Image now caters for the sport event photography market, from local clubs and teams through to corporate & sponsored events. Eventful Image has forged a relationship with Scottish Universities Sport (SUS) to bring you this venture.

Antony has had this site created in association with SUS to enable both students and corporate bodies the ability to obtain high quality Scottish university sports & physical activity imagery at a fair price for a variety of uses.

The Process

Whether you are a student, governing body, corporate university member, team or event sponsor, the system is the same. In the first instance you should check the event calendar, and this will let you know events we are already booked to cover. If your event does not appear in the event calendar you will need to contact us to see whether we are available. You will be notified as to availability as soon as possible. Upon confirmation you may be asked a few more details regarding the shoot. The event will then be covered and there is no cost for covering most events.

After the event the images will be posted on the site, usually within 24hrs. You are then able to view and buy images as prints or on license, for more information please see the Licensing section.

Scottish Universities Sport (SUS)

Scottish Universities Sport (SUS) was established in 2005 from an amalgamation of the former Scottish Universities Physical Education Association (SUPEA) and Scottish Universities Sports Federation (SUSF) and is now well established and recognised as the governing body for all university sport in Scotland.

SUS aims to deliver high quality events in over 35 sports, to champion and encourage physical activity, to develop skills of volunteers and staff, to promote professional excellence and to advocate the role of the sector within Scottish Sport.

SUS is affiliated to the British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) and University College Sport (UCS) and is supported by sportscotland.
